El gobierno de México a través del Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior (IME) dedica anualmente una semana completa a los temas de educación en todos los consulados de México en el mundo en colaboración con organizaciones e instituciones locales.
Como parte de la 6ta Semana Binacional de Educación, celebrada del 14 al 18 de agosto de 2023, la Ventanilla de Orientación Educativa del Consulado de México en Orlando, con el apoyo de Amigos Helping Amigos, otorgaron 8 becas de $1,500 dólares cada una a estudiantes de distintas universidades y dos becas de $500 dólares a estudiantes DACA.
Durante la semana se realizaron conferencias, se hicieron presentaciones de diferentes instituciones educativas de México y se invitó a participar a diferentes universidades y colegios locales para poner mesas de información en el Consulado de México en Orlando.
Se contó con la colaboración de las universidades Valencia College, Florida Technical College y Chancery High School las cuales ofrecieron personalmente sus servicios y oportunidad de estudio en las mesas de la planta baja del consulado y por supuesto a los aliados que ofrecieron sus donaciones para las becas como: Bravo Supermarkets, Concilio Hispano de Negocios de la Cámara de Comercio de Osceola, Tommy Tompkins Family Foundation, Amigos Helping Amigos y Restaurante San Ángel Inn de Epcot.
6th Binational Education Week
The government of Mexico through the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME) annually dedicates a full week to education issues in all Mexican consulates around the world in collaboration with local organizations and institutions.
As part of the 6th Binational Education Week, held August 14-18, 2023, the Educational Orientation Desk of the Mexican Consulate in Orlando, with the support of Amigos Helping Amigos, awarded 8 scholarships of $1,500 dollars each to students from different universities and two scholarships of $500 dollars to DACA students.
During the week, conferences were held, presentations were made by different Mexican educational institutions and different local universities and colleges were invited to participate by setting up information tables at the Mexican Consulate in Orlando.
We had the collaboration of Valencia College, Florida Technical College and Chancery High School which personally offered their services and study opportunities at the tables on the first floor of the consulate and of course the allies who offered their donations for scholarships such as: Bravo Supermarkets, Hispanic Business Council of the Osceola Chamber of Commerce, Tommy Tompkins Family Foundation, Amigos Helping Amigos and San Angel Inn Restaurant at Epcot.
